Dublin Cemeteries Trust is the registered business name and operating name of Dublin Cemeteries Committee, established in 1846. We are an independent organisation (non-local authority) governed by The Dublin Cemeteries Committee Act 1970.
Dublin Cemeteries Committee is a registered charity (Registered Charity Number 20009441; CHY 5849), run by an Executive Management team and governed by Committee Members.
Dublin Cemeteries Trust is governed by a committee of voluntary non-executive Board members.
Ashling is the chair of the board, as well as Chief Information Officer at Irish Life Group. Ashling is a regular speaker at seminars and industry events on the transformational role of digital and technology, data and security, innovation and women in business.
Bevin has led and scaled Dentaltech Group, a second-generation family business, over many years, gaining extensive experience in operational leadership and strategic planning. She brings to the Board a strong commitment to stewardship and sustainability, informed by previous non-executive and advisory roles.
Darragh Murphy is Head of Media and Project Communications at Uisce Éireann, where he leads strategic communications for media, crises communications and projects. He has played a key role in shaping narratives that build trust in Uisce Éireann and is passionate about delivering clear, impactful messaging.
Ginny has over 40 years’ experience in health/social care and regulatory services. She is the founding CEO of CORU – a non-commercial state body, regulating health and social care professionals in Ireland for the first time. Semi retired, she now serves as a non executive director on a number of different bodies.
Jenny has held several leadership and consulting positions with international companies, including Korn Ferry, WTW, and PwC. With 35 years of advisory and management experience, she specialises in organisation and people strategy, talent management, rewards, and executive compensation.
John is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Director and an Associate of the Institute of Tax. John was a Tax Partner in PwC for 31 years, specialising primarily in Pharma/Life Sciences. The final phase of his career with PwC was as Chief Operating Officer for the PwC Global Tax and Legal network. Since his retirement from PwC, John has been appointed to a number of non-executive director roles.
Maureen is a member of the senior leadership team of Irish Life for over a decade, and has been its General Counsel since 2020. She has extensive experience in the legal industry and holds an LLM from the University of Limerick.
Mike is an experienced IT infrastructure leader with a proven track record delivering complex projects across pharmaceuticals, utilities, and financial services. His recent work includes leading infrastructure for Bristol Myers Squibb's CAR-T cell therapy facility in the Netherlands and a biopharmaceutical facility in Dublin, as well as major projects for Uisce Éireann, Bord Gáis, and Dublin Airport Terminal 2.
Patrick is a former Medical Director and previously Director of Emergency Medicine at St James’s Hospital, Dublin and a recipient of the Lord Mayor’s Award 2007 for services to St John Ambulance and the poor sick of Dublin. Now in semi-retirement, Patrick continues a tradition of service with Dublin Cemeteries Trust.
Peter Gallogly is the Chief Executive Officer of Dublin Cemeteries Trust. Peter joined Dublin Cemeteries Trust in June 2025, bringing over 20 years of senior experience in commercial and marketing roles across the retail and consumer sectors.
He has a strong track record in organisational leadership, customer strategy and team development, and is committed to ensuring the Trust's 200-year legacy is honoured in how we engage with bereaved families, the funeral director community and visitors to our five cemeteries across Dublin every day.
