If you have developed a taste for researching your family history or for genealogy in general, you won’t want to miss our Glasnevin Genealogy Group Seminar taking place this March. This all-day event will be packed full of speakers who specialise in almost every type of record that you can imagine.

There will be several presentations from specialists in these subjects on the day. There will also be hubs on the day dedicated to specialist records where you can go to have an in-depth conversation with an expert. Please note there will be time limits set for consultations to ensure everyone has a chance to be heard. This event promises to be engaging and interactive so make sure to bring your work along with you and discuss any challenges or ‘brick walls’ that you have encountered on your family history journey so far.  You will be in the right place to find solutions to them!

The speakers and facilitators will bring examples of their work along on the day to share with you. There will also be handouts and research packs full of hints and tips for you take away! Participants will also free genealogy credits for our online genealogy search database. There will be an opportunity at the end of the seminar to locate/visit graves within the cemetery. Staff will be on hand to assist you with any queries.  

Registration will commence at 9:15am. The seminar will start at 9:45am. Hubs will close during talks, however you can leave your query with one of our dedicated experts while you listen to our specialist speakers.
