Certain sections in Glasnevin Cemetery are conservation areas. Therefore, only headstones of particular materials and design are allowed and no items should be placed on the grave surface.
No kerbing or items should be placed on the surface of 8ft (243.84cm) long x 2ft (60.96cm) wide graves in Glasnevin.
Monument Fees
Fees are applied when placing a headstone or monument on the grave. The fees cover the foundation for the monument, and include an administration fee to issue the permit to the monument sculptor carrying out the monumental works on the grave.
