Accessibility at Experience Glasnevin
Experience Glasnevin - Ireland's National Cemetery is committed to ensuring that its facilities, tours, exhibitions and services are accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities.
During Your Visit
Parking & Arrival
On-site parking is available (payable by card or cash upon exit). A dedicated drop-off point for those with mobility impairments is located directly beside the Visitor Centre.
Entrances
The Visitor Centre has two wheelchair-accessible entrances. The door on the left side of the building opens automatically for your convenience.
Accessibility & Mobility
- ✔ Wheelchair Access: The Visitor Centre is fully accessible. While the O’Connell Crypt is not accessible by wheelchair, you can view a virtual reconstruction here.
- ✔ Guided Tours: The guided tours of the cemetery can be adapted for those with mobility issues. Please advise your guide on the day of your tour if you are not comfortable climbing stairs.
- ✔ On-site Wheelchair: A wheelchair is available for use on the cemetery grounds. To reserve it, please email museum@dctrust.ie or call (01) 882 6550.
Assistance Dogs
Service dogs are welcome in the gallery. Water bowls are provided near the café seating. Please keep dogs on a leash at all times within the cemetery grounds.
Toilets
Toilets are accessible through the exterior of the building, conveniently situated beside the café.
